The garden was lovely, I enjoyed sipping a cuppa and pretending I was a nature lover. The property is conveniently close to a music hall where I could pretend I'm cool and hip.

The rooms at Mary's Place in Castlewellan are absolutely amazing. I stayed in a double room that had its own private bathroom with a refreshing shower. It was so nice to have my own space to get ready in the mornings. Plus, the room had an electric kettle and a dining area, which made it super convenient for making a cup of tea and enjoying a snack. I just felt really comfortable and at home in the room.

There was one small thing that I didn't particularly love about the room. It had a bathrobe, which some people might enjoy, but personally, I didn't find it very useful.

Mary, the hostess, was welcoming and personable. Detailed tour of the bungalow was provided. Clear explanations of where items are and how everything worked. Feel at home with the offer of tea/coffee and treats. Warm and cozy with a comfortable bed.

I had an amazing stay at Mary's Place in Castlewellan. From the moment I arrived, Mary was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She even offered me food when I arrived late in the evening. Mary was a lovely woman to deal with and I will definitely be back. the location of the place was perfect, only a 7-minute drive to Newcastle. the house itself was gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and had a beautiful garden. Mary was a great hostess, providing detailed information about the local area, including recommendations for bars and restaurants. I especially enjoyed having my morning coffee on the rear patio, overlooking the lovely garden. Cons: Cannot find any fault. 👍.

I got great value for my money at Mary's Place. The room was spotlessly clean and the hostess, Mary, was friendly and accommodating. The location was convenient, close to a main road but still quiet at night.

The breakfast offerings could have been more varied.
